That's What's Up

Deidre House Consider the Source is basically a jam band at heart, but by tastefully combining a diversity of influences- jazz, world music, metal, to name a few- they transcend the genre. They're definitely virtuosos, but they use their skills wisely, not to show off at every opportunity.

The guitarist has a 2nd neck- a fretless guitar synth- that he uses with an extensive pedal board setup for an insane timbral range. The density of talent in this power trio is unreal.

thehomienicked Really awesome record from a truly unique band. I can't really think of anyone else who sounds quite like these guys. As a bass player, John Ferrara is a total inspiration too. Favorite track: Closer To Home.
